The 2023 vintage is a fantastic year which is characterised by exceptional detail and perfume with fleshy fruit, lots of fine ripe tannin and length. Hand-picked from our oldest and most exceptional parcels of dry-grown cabernet, the Block 5 was fermented in small parcels including concrete tank and matured in French oak hogshead barrels.
Tasting Notes
Dark saturated berry aromas, including blackberry and cherry. There is violets and florals, along with a vanilla pod sweetness. The palate is long and deeply flavoured with more dark berries. Fine tannins with an ironstone, graphite line running through the wine.
